Overview

OXVA Xlim V3 Pod Cartridges

XLIM V3 is the refillable cartridge that most of OXVA's XLIM series runs on. Each one holds 2ml, fills from the top under a silicone stopper, and carries its mesh coil sealed inside rather than as a part you fit yourself.

That is the practical difference from a coil-and-tank setup. There is nothing to unscrew, nothing to prime separately, and nothing to thread wrong. The trade-off is that the coil and the pod reach the end of their life together, which is why these come in a three-pack rather than singly.

Because the coil is fixed, the resistance you choose is the one you live with for that cartridge. It is worth picking deliberately rather than by habit: the four options run from a tight cigarette-style draw at 1.2 ohm through to a warm, open restricted direct-to-lung at 0.4 ohm, and the e-liquid that suits each end of that range is different too.

Staying inside one cartridge platform is the quiet advantage of the XLIM range: upgrade the device and you are usually still buying the same pod. If you need the device itself, the current models sit in OXVA XLIM pod kits. Other cartridge options, including the separate XLIM C pods, are grouped in OXVA XLIM pods, and both the XLIM and NeXLIM platforms are covered in the wider OXVA range.

Add your own e-liquid

E-liquid: what to use & where to buy

These are refillable cartridges, so e-liquid is bought separately, and the right liquid depends on the resistance you picked.

OXVA pairs the 0.8 ohm and 1.2 ohm cartridges with nicotine salts. Those run cool and tight, and salt nicotine is smoother at the higher strengths people usually want in a mouth-to-lung setup. The 0.4 ohm and 0.6 ohm cartridges take freebase or salt, and because they produce more vapour per puff, a lower nicotine strength normally suits them better.

Thick high-VG shortfills are the one thing to avoid across the range. A mesh coil this small cannot wick liquid that heavy quickly enough, and the result is a dry hit rather than a bigger cloud. A 50/50 blend or a nicotine salt is the safer choice.

Verified resistance-specific guidance, where available, is shown with each pod in the compatibility section above. Ready to stock up?

Is this right for you?

Prefilled pods vs. the full kit

This listing is the cartridge on its own, not a device. If you already own an XLIM you are in the right place. If you are starting from scratch you need an XLIM kit as well, which includes the device and a cartridge to begin with, plus a separate bottle of e-liquid because XLIM cartridges are refillable rather than prefilled.

OXVA lists this cartridge against the XLIM series, and we have confirmed it against the XLIM devices we stock. The XLIM Pro 3 and XLIM 3 Ultra were checked separately, because neither appears on OXVA's main cartridge list; both of their OXVA product pages state support for the 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm cartridges.

There is one exception worth knowing inside the XLIM family. The XLIM C is a separate cartridge platform and does not take these pods - it uses its own XLIM C replacement cartridges. OXVA's compatibility list omits the XLIM C, and it is the one XLIM name that does not follow the rest of the range.

The NeXLIM devices are a separate platform again, built around OXVA's UNITECH cartridge, so check the series name printed on your device before ordering.

On the 0.4 ohm option: it draws the most power of the four, so it suits the models that can deliver it rather than every XLIM ever made.

Before you order

What is included?

Three XLIM V3 refillable cartridges, all in the single resistance you select. E-liquid and the device itself are not included, as these are replacement cartridges rather than a starter kit.

The basics

How it works

Each cartridge holds 2ml and has its mesh coil sealed inside the body, so there is no separate coil to install, prime or thread. When the coil is spent you fit a fresh cartridge.

Resistance is what changes the experience, and OXVA publishes a wattage range for each one. 1.2 ohm runs at 10-12W and 0.8 ohm at 12-16W, both mouth-to-lung and intended for nicotine salts. 0.6 ohm runs at 20-25W and 0.4 ohm at 26-30W, opening into a restricted direct-to-lung draw and working with freebase as well as salts.

On a device with adjustable output, staying inside the published range is what protects the coil. Above it the wick cannot keep up and the cotton scorches; below it the flavour goes thin and cold.

Get started

Setup & how to use

Lift the mouthpiece end and open the silicone stopper on the top edge of the cartridge. Fill slowly, leaving a small air gap rather than filling to the very top, then close the stopper firmly.

Let a newly filled cartridge stand for a few minutes before the first draw so the coil wicks properly. Seating it in the device and taking two or three gentle primer puffs without firing also helps. Skipping this step is the most common cause of a burnt first taste.

If something is not right

Troubleshooting

A burnt or harsh taste on a new cartridge nearly always means it was fired before the wick had saturated. Refill it, leave it a few minutes, take two or three draws without firing, and only then vape it. Once cotton has scorched it cannot be recovered.

Weak flavour or no vapour at all is more often a contact problem than a faulty cartridge. Take the cartridge out, wipe the contacts on both the cartridge and inside the device with a dry tissue, and seat it again firmly.

Gurgling, or liquid reaching your lips, usually points to an overfilled cartridge or a stopper that has not been pressed fully closed. Leaving a small air gap when filling gives the pod the pressure balance it needs. Very thick e-liquid can flood these coils for the same reason.

Flavour that fades gradually over days is normal coil wear rather than a fault, and is the point at which to change the cartridge.

Safety, storage & recycling

Store pods upright, away from heat, direct sunlight and moisture, and keep pods and e-liquid out of reach of children and pets. Wash your hands after handling e-liquid, and replace a pod if it leaks or the flavour dulls.

At end of life, recycle empty pods with small electricals or via a vape take-back scheme where available rather than general waste.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

Will these fit my XLIM device?

For most of the XLIM range, yes. OXVA lists this cartridge across the XLIM series, and the compatible devices section on this page shows the XLIM models we stock that appear on that list, plus the XLIM Pro 3 and XLIM 3 Ultra which we verified individually.

There is one exception. The XLIM C does not take these cartridges - it has its own XLIM C replacement pods, despite carrying the XLIM name. If your device is an XLIM C, order those instead.

If your model is not shown in either case, check the series name printed on the device before ordering rather than assuming from the name alone.

Which resistance should I choose?

Choose by the draw you want, then set your device to OXVA's published range for that cartridge.

1.2 ohm runs at 10-12W and gives the tightest, coolest mouth-to-lung draw, closest to a cigarette. It is designed for nicotine salts. 0.8 ohm runs at 12-16W, still mouth-to-lung but a little warmer, also suited to salts. 0.6 ohm runs at 20-25W and opens the draw up into restricted direct-to-lung territory, and takes freebase or salt. 0.4 ohm runs at 26-30W, the warmest and most open of the four.

If you are coming off cigarettes and want something familiar, start at 1.2 ohm or 0.8 ohm with a nicotine salt. If you want more vapour and a looser inhale, go to 0.6 ohm and drop the nicotine strength to match.

What wattage should I run a 0.6 ohm or 0.8 ohm XLIM cartridge at?

OXVA publishes a range for each resistance: 0.6 ohm at 20-25W, and 0.8 ohm at 12-16W. The other two are 0.4 ohm at 26-30W and 1.2 ohm at 10-12W.

Start at the bottom of the range rather than the middle. A new cartridge that is fired hard before the wick has fully saturated is the most common cause of a burnt first tank, and you cannot undo it. Work up a watt or two at a time until the flavour is where you want it, and back off if it starts to taste sharp or dry.

On a device with no wattage control, the output is already matched to the cartridge and there is nothing to set.

How long does one cartridge last before it needs replacing?

There is no fixed figure, and any shop quoting an exact number of refills is estimating. A cartridge is finished when the flavour turns flat or slightly burnt no matter how much liquid is in it. What shortens that life is mostly how you use it: running a cartridge dry even briefly, vaping at the top of the wattage range rather than the middle, and dark or heavily sweetened flavours that gunk a coil faster than light fruit or menthol.

Keeping it topped up rather than letting it run low is the single thing that makes the most difference.

Will these work with a NeXLIM device?

NeXLIM is a separate platform. OXVA lists the UNITECH cartridge against its NeXLIM devices and the XLIM cartridge against its XLIM devices; neither list includes the other series. If the device says NeXLIM, order a NeXLIM cartridge rather than this one.

Can I change flavour without changing the cartridge?

You can, but expect some carry-over. The wick holds onto the previous flavour, so the first few draws after a switch usually taste like a blend of the two. Moving between similar flavours is fine; going from a strong menthol or dessert to a light fruit is where it is most noticeable.

Emptying the cartridge, letting it sit briefly and then filling with the new liquid reduces it. If you switch often, keeping one cartridge per flavour from the pack is simpler than fighting it.

What is the difference between the V3 top-fill cartridge and the EZ cartridge?

They are two cartridge designs within the same XLIM family, offered in the same 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm resistances. The V3 top-fill is the one listed here, filled through a silicone stopper on the top edge. OXVA also produces an EZ cartridge line alongside it.

If your device came with a top-fill cartridge, this is the direct replacement.

Is there a separate coil to change?

No. The mesh coil is built into the cartridge, so there is nothing to unscrew or replace on its own. When the flavour dulls or the coil is spent you fit a fresh cartridge, which is why these are sold in a multi-pack.

Editorial standards

How we verified this product

Three things on this page had to be decided rather than copied.

The wattage figures are OXVA's own, published against each resistance in their XLIM cartridge documentation and read on 31 July 2026. We have not rounded them or collapsed them into a single best number, because the ranges are genuinely ranges.

The device list was the harder call. OXVA's published compatibility list names nine XLIM models, and two of the devices we sell, the XLIM Pro 3 and the XLIM 3 Ultra, are not among them. Rather than assume the series name was enough, we read both OXVA product pages separately; each states support for all four resistances, so both were added on that basis. The original XLIM Pod Kit and the vPrime are absent for the opposite reason - OXVA does not list them against this cartridge, and a name match alone is not evidence.

Two things we could not settle, and would rather say so. OXVA publishes no figure for how many refills a cartridge lasts, so this page does not invent one. And the 0.4 ohm option on our own listing is labelled for the Pro, SQ Pro and Go models, which is narrower than the support OXVA publishes; that conflict is flagged internally rather than quietly widened here.

Capacity is the UK 2ml specification throughout. Larger versions of this cartridge exist for other markets and are not what is sold on this page.
