Overview

OXVA Xlim Pro Pod Kit

The XLIM Pro is the version of OXVA's XLIM that gives you the controls. A 1000mAh battery, an adjustable 5-30W output, a side airflow slider and a choice of firing by button or by drawing on it - none of which the simpler XLIM models offer together.

What it does not change is the cartridge. It runs the same XLIM platform as the rest of the range, so if you already buy XLIM cartridges you carry on buying the same ones. That is the practical argument for staying inside this family rather than switching brand every upgrade.

It arrives with two cartridges, 0.6 and 0.8 ohm, which between them cover a warmer restricted draw and a tighter mouth-to-lung one. Replacements are in XLIM V3 cartridges, the rest of the series sits in OXVA XLIM pod kits, and both OXVA platforms are covered in the wider OXVA range.

Being refillable, e-liquid is bought separately - which is what makes the running cost lower than a prefilled device once the kit is paid for.

Compare the range

Compare the OXVA XLIM range

Every device in this range runs the same XLIM cartridge platform, so cartridges carry across and moving up later does not strand the ones you already own. What changes is how much control you get and how much battery sits behind it. The Go Lite is the stripped-back entry point with no button and no screen, the standard XLIM adds a display, and the Pro lets you set the wattage yourself and charges at twice the rate.

Shared by all: 2ml (TPD) refillable XLIM cartridges with the coil built in, side airflow control, USB-C charging and a mouth-to-lung to restricted direct-lung draw. Only devices reaching 26-30W can run the 0.4 ohm cartridge, which is the one practical split across this group.

Add your own e-liquid

E-liquid: what to use & where to buy

Nothing arrives pre-filled, so e-liquid is bought separately and the right one depends on the cartridge you fit.

The 0.8 ohm cartridge supplied with the kit is paired by OXVA with nicotine salts, and the 0.6 ohm takes freebase or salt. As a rule the tighter, cooler resistances suit higher-strength salts, and the warmer more open ones suit lower strengths.

Thick high-VG shortfills are the one thing to avoid. A mesh coil this small cannot wick liquid that heavy fast enough, and the result is a dry hit rather than a bigger cloud.

Verified resistance-specific guidance, where available, is shown with each pod in the compatibility section above. Ready to stock up?

Is this right for you?

Prefilled pods vs. the full kit

This is the kit: the XLIM Pro device itself, supplied with two cartridges so you can start straight away. If you already own an XLIM Pro and just need cartridges, buy those on their own instead - you do not need a second device.

E-liquid is separate either way. This is a refillable system, so nothing arrives pre-filled.

OXVA lists the XLIM Pro as taking the XLIM Top Fill cartridge, the V3 cartridges in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm, the older V2 cartridges in 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm, and OXVA's prefilled cartridges.

There is one documented exception, and OXVA states it plainly on their own specification: the XLIM C cartridge does not fit. The XLIM C is a separate platform with its own cartridges despite sharing the XLIM name.

NeXLIM cartridges are a different platform again and are not compatible either.

Before you order

What is in the kit?

The XLIM Pro device with a 0.6 ohm XLIM Top Fill cartridge already fitted, a second cartridge in 0.8 ohm, a Type-C charging cable, a lanyard and the user manual.

E-liquid is not included. This is a refillable kit, so you choose and buy that separately.

The basics

How it works

The XLIM Pro runs a 1000mAh battery at 5-30W and fires either on the button or by drawing on it, whichever you prefer. Airflow is set with a slider on the side of the device rather than by twisting the cartridge, so once you find your draw it stays put.

The cartridge carries the coil, so the resistance you fit is what decides the experience. OXVA publishes a wattage band for each one: 0.4 ohm at 26-30W, 0.6 ohm at 20-25W, 0.8 ohm at 12-16W and 1.2 ohm at 10-12W. The two supplied with the kit are 0.6 and 0.8 ohm, which between them cover most of the range from a warmer restricted draw to a tighter mouth-to-lung one.

Charging is over USB-C at 5V/2A.

Get started

Setup & how to use

Take the cartridge out, lift the silicone stopper on the top edge and fill slowly, leaving a small air gap rather than filling to the brim. Close the stopper firmly and seat the cartridge back in the device.

Leave a freshly filled cartridge to stand for a few minutes before the first draw, and take two or three pulls without firing to help the coil wick. This is the step most people skip, and it is the reason a brand-new cartridge can taste burnt on day one.

Set the wattage inside OXVA's band for the resistance you fitted, starting at the lower end, and open or close the side airflow slider until the draw feels right.

If something is not right

Troubleshooting

A burnt taste on a new cartridge almost always means it was fired before the wick had saturated, or that the wattage is set above OXVA's band for that resistance. Neither can be undone once the cotton has scorched, so it is worth getting right first time.

No fire or weak output is usually the contacts rather than the device. Remove the cartridge, wipe the contacts on both the cartridge and inside the device with a dry tissue, and reseat it firmly.

Gurgling or liquid in the mouthpiece points to overfilling or a stopper that has not been pressed fully shut. Very thick high-VG e-liquid can flood these coils for the same reason.

If the device will not charge, try a different USB-C cable before assuming a fault - the port collects pocket lint and a dry cocktail stick clears it.

Safety, storage & recycling

Keep the device and its built-in battery away from extreme heat, water and direct sunlight. Charge on a non-flammable surface using a USB-C lead and don't leave it charging unattended. Keep the device, pods and e-liquid out of reach of children and pets, and wash your hands after handling e-liquid.

At end of life, don't put the device in general waste — recycle it at a battery or small-electricals recycling point, or via a vape take-back scheme where available. Empty pods can be recycled with small electricals where accepted.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

Which cartridges does the XLIM Pro take?

OXVA lists the XLIM Top Fill cartridge, the V3 range in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm, the older V2 range in 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm, and OXVA's prefilled cartridges.

The exception is the XLIM C, which OXVA excludes explicitly. It carries the XLIM name but uses its own cartridge, so it is not interchangeable with the rest of the range.

What comes in the kit?

OXVA supplies the XLIM Pro device with a 0.6 ohm XLIM Top Fill cartridge already fitted, a second cartridge in 0.8 ohm, a Type-C cable, a lanyard and the user manual.

E-liquid is not included, because this is a refillable device rather than a prefilled one.

What wattage should I set it to?

Match it to the cartridge, not the device. OXVA publishes a band for each resistance: 0.4 ohm at 26-30W, 0.6 ohm at 20-25W, 0.8 ohm at 12-16W and 1.2 ohm at 10-12W. The XLIM Pro covers all of them within its 5-30W range.

Start at the bottom of the band and work up a watt or two at a time. Smart mode will also pick a sensible setting for the fitted cartridge if you would rather not adjust it yourself.

Is the airflow adjustable?

Yes, via a slider on the side of the device rather than by rotating the cartridge. That means the setting stays where you put it when you take the cartridge out to refill, which is not true of every pod kit.

Closed down it gives a tight mouth-to-lung draw; opened up it moves towards a warmer, more open restricted direct-to-lung one.

Do I have to press a button to vape it?

No. The XLIM Pro fires either way - draw on it and it activates, or use the button if you prefer the control. Both are available on the same device, so it suits people coming from an auto-draw pod as well as those used to a button.

How is this different from the XLIM Pro 2?

They are consecutive generations of the same platform and both take the same XLIM cartridges, so moving between them does not change what you re-order.

We have not put a spec-by-spec comparison on this page yet, because we want each figure checked against OXVA's own published specification for both devices rather than repeated from secondary sources. Until that is done, compare the two product pages directly.

Editorial standards

How we verified this product

Every specification on this page - the 1000mAh battery, the 5-30W range, the 5V/2A USB-C charging, the 111.0 x 25.0 x 14.3mm body at 66g, and the contents of the box down to the lanyard - is taken from OXVA's own published XLIM Pro specification, read on 31 July 2026.

The compatibility exception is worth explaining, because it is the sort of thing most retailers leave out. OXVA's specification lists the cartridges this device accepts and then adds one exclusion: not the XLIM C. We have carried that exclusion onto this page rather than quietly dropping it, because a customer with an XLIM C would otherwise reasonably assume any XLIM cartridge fits.

Two things are deliberately absent. There is no side-by-side comparison with the XLIM Pro 2 yet: our own review of that device gives its predecessor a 900mAh battery, while OXVA's specification for this one says 1000mAh, and we would rather resolve that against the manufacturer than publish a table built on a figure we cannot stand behind. And there is no coil-life or refill-count figure, because OXVA publishes none.

Capacity is the UK 2ml specification throughout.
