Overview

OXVA Xlim V2 Pods

XLIM V2 is the earlier of OXVA's two XLIM cartridge formats. Each one holds 2ml, carries its mesh coil sealed inside rather than as a part you fit, and comes three to a pack because the coil and the cartridge reach the end of their life together.

The difference from the later cartridge is how you fill it. The V2 has a silicone bung on its side, so the cartridge normally comes out of the device to be topped up. The V3 cartridge moved that port to the top edge, which is quicker in daily use and adds a 0.4 ohm option the V2 range does not have.

We stock two resistances, and the one you pick is fixed for that cartridge, so it is worth choosing deliberately. 1.2 ohm gives a tight, cool mouth-to-lung draw and is built around nicotine salts. 0.6 ohm opens into a restricted direct-to-lung draw and takes freebase as well as salt. The V2 is also made in 0.8 ohm, which we do not stock in this format - the V3 cartridge covers that resistance.

We would point anyone with a recently bought device at the V3, because that is the cartridge OXVA still documents. If your XLIM came with the side-fill cartridge, this is the like-for-like replacement. Devices sit in OXVA XLIM pod kits, every cartridge option in OXVA XLIM pods, and the wider platform in the OXVA range.

Add your own e-liquid

E-liquid: what to use & where to buy

These are refillable cartridges, so e-liquid is bought separately, and the right liquid depends on the resistance.

The 1.2 ohm runs cool and tight and is intended for nicotine salts, which stay smooth at the higher strengths a mouth-to-lung setup usually calls for. The 0.6 ohm produces more vapour per puff and takes freebase or salt, normally at a lower strength.

Thick high-VG shortfills are the thing to avoid at either resistance. A mesh coil this small cannot wick liquid that heavy fast enough, and the result is a dry hit rather than more vapour. A 50/50 blend or a nicotine salt is the safer choice.

Verified resistance-specific guidance, where available, is shown with each pod in the compatibility section above. Ready to stock up?

Is this right for you?

Prefilled pods vs. the full kit

This listing is the cartridge on its own, not a device. If you already own an XLIM you are in the right place. If you are starting from scratch you need an XLIM kit as well, which comes with the device and a cartridge, plus a separate bottle of e-liquid because XLIM cartridges are refillable rather than prefilled.

The V2 uses the standard XLIM cartridge fitment, and independent compatibility guidance places it across the XLIM, XLIM SE, XLIM SQ, XLIM Pro and XLIM GO families - the same devices the later top-fill cartridge serves.

We are being deliberately careful about how far we take that. OXVA's current cartridge documentation no longer lists a V2 at all, so there is no manufacturer compatibility list to check a specific device against, the way there is for the top-fill cartridge. If you have bought an XLIM recently, the top-fill cartridge is the one OXVA still publishes and the one we would point you to.

Two exceptions inside the OXVA range are worth knowing. The XLIM C is a separate platform on its own cartridge and does not take these. The NeXLIM devices are separate again, built around OXVA's UNITECH cartridge. Check the series name printed on your device before ordering.

Before you order

What is included?

Three XLIM V2 refillable cartridges, all in the single resistance you select - 0.6 ohm or 1.2 ohm. The mesh coil is already sealed inside each one, so no separate coils are needed.

E-liquid and the device itself are not included - these are replacement cartridges rather than a starter kit.

The basics

How it works

Each V2 cartridge holds 2ml and has its mesh coil sealed inside the body. There is no separate coil to install, prime or thread - when the coil is spent, the cartridge is what you change, which is why these are sold three to a pack rather than singly.

The V2 is the earlier of the two XLIM cartridge formats. It fills through a silicone bung on the side of the cartridge rather than a stopper on the top edge, so the cartridge normally comes out of the device to be refilled. That is the practical difference between this and the later top-fill cartridge, which can be topped up in place.

Resistance decides the rest. We stock two, and OXVA publishes a wattage range for XLIM cartridges at each: 1.2 ohm at 10-12W, a tight mouth-to-lung draw built around nicotine salts, and 0.6 ohm at 20-25W, which opens into restricted direct-to-lung and takes freebase as well as salt.

Get started

Setup & how to use

Take the cartridge out of the device and find the silicone bung on its side. Ease it open, fill slowly and leave a small air gap rather than filling to the very top, then press the bung firmly back into place before seating the cartridge again.

Let a newly filled cartridge stand for a few minutes before the first draw so the wick saturates fully. Two or three gentle draws without firing help it along. Skipping that wait is the single most common way a new cartridge is ruined, and scorched cotton cannot be brought back.

If something is not right

Troubleshooting

A burnt taste on a fresh cartridge almost always means it was fired before the wick had saturated. Refill, wait a few minutes, draw two or three times without firing, and only then vape it.

Weak flavour or nothing at all is more often a contact problem than a faulty cartridge. Lift it out, wipe the contacts on the cartridge and inside the device with a dry tissue, and seat it firmly again.

Gurgling or liquid at the mouthpiece usually points to overfilling, or to a side bung that has not gone fully back in. Leaving a small air gap gives the cartridge the pressure balance it needs, and a bung seated flush is what keeps it there.

Flavour fading gradually over days is normal coil wear rather than a fault. That is the point to fit a fresh cartridge.

Safety, storage & recycling

Store pods upright, away from heat, direct sunlight and moisture, and keep pods and e-liquid out of reach of children and pets. Wash your hands after handling e-liquid, and replace a pod if it leaks or the flavour dulls.

At end of life, recycle empty pods with small electricals or via a vape take-back scheme where available rather than general waste.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the XLIM V2 and the V3 cartridge?

They are the two generations of the same XLIM cartridge. The V3 is the later top-filling version: you open a stopper on the top edge and top it up with the cartridge still in the device. The V2 fills through a silicone bung on the side, so it usually comes out to be refilled. The V3 also adds a 0.4 ohm option that the V2 range does not have.

OXVA's current cartridge documentation lists only the later top-fill cartridge, so if you have bought an XLIM recently that is the one to choose. Both are 2ml with the mesh coil sealed inside.

Which resistance should I choose?

We stock the V2 in two: 1.2 ohm and 0.6 ohm. Pick on the draw you want. 1.2 ohm is the tighter and cooler of the two, closest to a cigarette, and OXVA runs it at 10-12W with nicotine salts.

0.6 ohm runs at 20-25W and opens into a restricted direct-to-lung draw, taking freebase or salt at a lower strength. Whichever you choose, start at the bottom of the range and work up a watt or two at a time.

The V2 is also made in 0.8 ohm, which sits between the two. We do not currently stock that one in this format - the V3 cartridge is where to find 0.8 ohm.

Do I need to buy coils as well?

No. The mesh coil is sealed inside each cartridge, so there is nothing separate to buy, fit or prime. When the coil is spent you fit a fresh cartridge, which is why they come three to a pack.

E-liquid is separate, though. These are refillable rather than prefilled, so you fill the 2ml cartridge yourself.

Will these fit a NeXLIM or an XLIM C?

No to both. The NeXLIM devices use OXVA's separate UNITECH cartridge, and the XLIM C is its own platform with its own cartridge despite the XLIM name. Check the series printed on your device before ordering.

How we verified this product

This page needed more care than most, because OXVA no longer publishes the V2.

OXVA's current XLIM cartridge documentation, read on 1 August 2026, lists the top-fill 2ml and 3ml cartridges, the EZ cartridges, an empty cartridge and replacement coils. There is no V2 entry at all. The capacity, pack size, the resistances the cartridge is made in, the side-fill bung and the sealed mesh coil were therefore taken from established UK retail listings rather than from OXVA, and cross-checked between two of them before being stated here.

The cartridge is made in 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm. We stock 0.6 and 1.2, and the page says so rather than implying the full set is available here. The 0.8 ohm resistance is covered by the V3 cartridge.

The wattage figures are OXVA's own published ranges for XLIM cartridges at 0.6 and 1.2 ohm. OXVA does not publish a V2-specific figure, so these are the platform ranges rather than a number printed against this cartridge.

Compatibility is where we have deliberately stopped short. With no manufacturer list for the V2, we do not name individual devices as supported. The V2 uses the standard XLIM fitment and independent compatibility guidance places it across the XLIM, SE, SQ, Pro and GO families, which is stated as exactly that and no further.

One claim was removed rather than rewritten. The previous version of this page said these cartridges take OXVA's UNI coils and that a range of coils could be used with them. That is wrong for a cartridge with the coil sealed inside, and it has been taken out.

Capacity is the UK 2ml specification. Larger versions of XLIM cartridges exist for other markets and are not what is sold here.
