Overview

The OXVA Vprime is the largest device OXVA makes in this class: a 2600mAh battery, an output range up to 60W, and a 0.96-inch colour screen with three selectable interface themes. It fires on the draw or the button and has side airflow control.

The important thing to understand before buying is the cartridge. The Vprime uses OXVA's VPRIME cartridges, which run a lower resistance ladder - 0.2Ω to 0.8Ω - and are not interchangeable with XLIM or NeXLIM pods. OXVA does not list any XLIM cartridge as compatible.

If you want the same class of device on the widely-stocked XLIM cartridge instead, look at the XLIM 3 Ultra.

Check the cartridge row before anything else. The XLIM SQ Pro 2 and XLIM 3 Ultra both take standard XLIM cartridges, so they share a restock with most of the OXVA range. The Vprime does not - it uses its own VPRIME cartridges, which no other OXVA device accepts. That is a long-term commitment, not a detail.

E-liquid: what to use & where to buy

OXVA lists nicotine salt and freebase e-liquid as suitable. The lower resistances here - 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω - run hotter and get through liquid faster, so lower nicotine strengths and higher-VG blends suit them better. The 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω cartridges suit a tighter draw and higher strengths.

Prefilled pods vs. the full kit

Choose the Vprime kit if you need the device, which comes with a 0.2Ω and a 0.6Ω cartridge. Choose VPRIME replacement cartridges if you already own a Vprime. The replacement pack is cartridges only and contains no battery.

VPRIME cartridges fit the OXVA Vprime only. OXVA does not list any XLIM or NeXLIM cartridge as compatible with this device, and does not list VPRIME cartridges as fitting any other OXVA kit. If you already own XLIM hardware, nothing carries across in either direction.

Restock with VPRIME replacement cartridges, available in 0.2Ω, 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω.

The basics

How it works

VPRIME cartridges hold the e-liquid and the coil in one replaceable unit, filled from the top. The device reads the cartridge and drives it within its 5-60W range, and the side airflow control sets how restricted the draw feels.

VPRIME is a separate platform from XLIM and NeXLIM. Its resistance ladder runs lower, from 0.2Ω to 0.8Ω, which is what allows the higher wattage and the warmer, more open draw.

Setup & how to use

Open the top-fill port and add e-liquid, avoiding the central airflow tube.
Close the seal and stand a new cartridge upright for five minutes so the coil wicks fully.
Push the cartridge fully into the device.
Start at a lower power and a moderate airflow setting.
Take a gentle first draw and adjust gradually from there.

If something is not right

Troubleshooting

Burnt taste: stop using it, check the liquid level and how long the cartridge was primed, and reduce the power.
Gurgling: dry the base of the cartridge and the recess it sits in, check the fill seal is closed, and draw more slowly.
No atomiser or no output: take the cartridge out, wipe the contacts dry and refit it.
Weak flavour: check the liquid level and airflow, and replace the cartridge if flavour stays flat.

Safety, storage & recycling

Keep the device and its built-in battery away from extreme heat, water and direct sunlight. Charge on a non-flammable surface using a USB-C lead and don't leave it charging unattended. Keep the device, pods and e-liquid out of reach of children and pets, and wash your hands after handling e-liquid.

At end of life, don't put the device in general waste — recycle it at a battery or small-electricals recycling point, or via a vape take-back scheme where available. Empty pods can be recycled with small electricals where accepted.

Frequently asked questions

Do XLIM cartridges fit the Vprime?

No. The Vprime uses its own VPRIME cartridges and OXVA does not list any XLIM cartridge as compatible. The resistances are different too - VPRIME runs 0.2Ω to 0.8Ω, XLIM runs 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω.

Worth knowing before you buy: if you already own XLIM kits, nothing you have carries over, and VPRIME cartridges are the only ones this device will ever take.

OXVA lists a 5ml cartridge - what do I get here?

2ml. OXVA sells the Vprime with a 5ml cartridge internationally, but UK law caps a refillable pod at 2ml, so UK kits ship the 2ml version.

OXVA's own UK listing still shows 5ml in its pack-contents block; that is an error carried over from the international page.

Can I set the wattage?

The Vprime has a colour screen, a fire button and ships with a button operation card, and OXVA publishes an output range of 5-60W.

OXVA does not actually state on any of its pages whether that range is user-set or applied automatically, so we are not going to claim either. The printed instructions in the box cover the button functions.

Vape Offers checked the battery, output range, screen, charge rate, cartridge compatibility, dimensions, weight, materials and pack contents against OXVA's published Vprime specification, accessed 1 August 2026. OXVA publishes a 5-60W range but does not state anywhere whether wattage is user-set or applied automatically, so no claim is made either way. OXVA's own UK listing still shows 5ml cartridges in its pack contents; UK kits are 2ml and that is what is stated here.
