The most open and warmest of the four; restricted DTL · The lowest resistance of the range. Runs warmest and gets through liquid fastest, so it suits lower nicotine strengths and higher-VG blends rather than strong nic salts.

Open, restricted DTL · Suits higher-VG liquid and lower nicotine strengths; a middle choice for an open draw without the speed of the 0.2Ω.

OXVA VPRIME Replacement Pod Cartridges

Replacement cartridges for the OXVA Vprime pod kit, two per pack, in four resistances. Each holds 2ml, fills from the top and has the mesh coil built in, so a spent cartridge is replaced whole rather than re-coiled.

The four resistances change the draw rather than just the power. 0.8Ω is the tightest and suits a cigarette-like MTL draw with stronger nic salts; 0.6Ω is the flexible middle; 0.4Ω opens up and warms; 0.2Ω is the most open and warmest, and gets through liquid fastest.

These fit the Vprime and nothing else. VPRIME is a separate platform from XLIM and NeXLIM, so if you own an XLIM device you need XLIM cartridges instead.

E-liquid: what to use & where to buy

OXVA lists nicotine salt and freebase e-liquid as suitable. The lower resistances here - 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω - run hotter and get through liquid faster, so lower nicotine strengths and higher-VG blends suit them better. The 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω cartridges suit a tighter draw and higher strengths.

Prefilled pods vs. the full kit

Choose the Vprime kit if you need the device, which comes with a 0.2Ω and a 0.6Ω cartridge. Choose VPRIME replacement cartridges if you already own a Vprime. The replacement pack is cartridges only and contains no battery.

VPRIME cartridges fit the OXVA Vprime only. OXVA does not list any XLIM or NeXLIM cartridge as compatible with this device, and does not list VPRIME cartridges as fitting any other OXVA kit. If you already own XLIM hardware, nothing carries across in either direction.

The basics

How it works

VPRIME cartridges hold the e-liquid and the coil in one replaceable unit, filled from the top. The device reads the cartridge and drives it within its 5-60W range, and the side airflow control sets how restricted the draw feels.

VPRIME is a separate platform from XLIM and NeXLIM. Its resistance ladder runs lower, from 0.2Ω to 0.8Ω, which is what allows the higher wattage and the warmer, more open draw.

Setup & how to use

  1. Open the top-fill port and add e-liquid, avoiding the central airflow tube.
  2. Close the seal and stand a new cartridge upright for five minutes so the coil wicks fully.
  3. Push the cartridge fully into the device.
  4. Start at a lower power and a moderate airflow setting.
  5. Take a gentle first draw and adjust gradually from there.
If something is not right

Troubleshooting

  • Burnt taste: stop using it, check the liquid level and how long the cartridge was primed, and reduce the power.
  • Gurgling: dry the base of the cartridge and the recess it sits in, check the fill seal is closed, and draw more slowly.
  • No atomiser or no output: take the cartridge out, wipe the contacts dry and refit it.
  • Weak flavour: check the liquid level and airflow, and replace the cartridge if flavour stays flat.

Store pods upright, away from heat, direct sunlight and moisture, and keep pods and e-liquid out of reach of children and pets. Wash your hands after handling e-liquid, and replace a pod if it leaks or the flavour dulls.

At end of life, recycle empty pods with small electricals or via a vape take-back scheme where available rather than general waste.

Which devices do these fit?

The OXVA Vprime, and only the OXVA Vprime. VPRIME is a separate cartridge platform - OXVA does not list these as fitting any XLIM or NeXLIM device, and does not list any XLIM cartridge as fitting the Vprime.

Which resistance should I choose?

Work from the draw you want and the nicotine strength you use.

  • 0.8Ω - tightest, cigarette-like. Best for nic salts at 10mg or 20mg.
  • 0.6Ω - the flexible middle. Balanced 50/50 liquid, mid strength.
  • 0.4Ω - opener and warmer, lower strengths.

The Vprime kit ships with 0.2Ω and 0.6Ω, so those are the two you will have tried already.

Can I just replace the coil?

The coil is built into the cartridge, so when it is spent you replace the whole thing. OXVA does list a separate VPRIME replacement coil, but it is not what is sold here - this is the complete cartridge.

OXVA says 5ml - why are these 2ml?

UK law caps a refillable pod at 2ml. OXVA sells a 5ml VPRIME cartridge internationally and a 2ml version for TPD markets, and the 2ml is what is sold here.

The coil, the resistances and the top-fill design are otherwise the same.
