About the range

Finding the right OXVA cartridge

Two things decide which cartridge you need: the platform your device is on, and the resistance you want.

On platform, check the model printed on the device. XLIM, NeXLIM and Vprime are three separate cartridge formats and none of them interchange. Within XLIM there are further exceptions worth knowing - XLIM C uses its own cartridge despite the name, and the 0.4 ohm cartridge needs a device that reaches 26-30W, so it does not suit the lower-powered models.

On resistance, higher means a tighter and cooler mouth-to-lung draw, lower means warmer and more open. OXVA publishes a wattage band for each on the XLIM platform: 1.2 ohm at 10-12W, 0.8 ohm at 12-16W, 0.6 ohm at 20-25W and 0.4 ohm at 26-30W.

Best for: Any device with XLIM on it

The XLIM cartridge, three per pack, with the coil built in. Sold in 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm across the range, plus 0.4 ohm for the devices that reach 26-30W.

Best for: Any device with NeXLIM on it

The UniTech cartridge, three per pack, with a dual-mesh coil built in. OXVA lists it as fitting the NeXLIM, NeXLIM 2, NeXLIM 2 Mini and NeXLIM Go. It does not fit XLIM devices.

VPRIME cartridges

Best for: Vprime owners only

The VPRIME cartridge, on its own platform. The resistance ladder runs lower than XLIM's - 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 ohm - which is what allows the Vprime's higher wattage and warmer draw. It fits the Vprime and nothing else.

Prefilled pods

Best for: SlimStick and Tasteflex SL owners

Sealed pods that arrive ready-filled, for OXVA's prefilled devices rather than the refillable ones. These are device-specific and are not interchangeable with each other or with XLIM and NeXLIM cartridges.

OXVA pod FAQs

Will any OXVA pod fit my device?

No. Check which platform your device is on first. XLIM devices take XLIM cartridges; NeXLIM devices take NeXLIM UniTech cartridges. The names are similar and the cartridges are not interchangeable.

There are exceptions worth knowing within the XLIM platform too. XLIM C is a separate cartridge again despite the name, and the 0.4 ohm cartridge needs a device that can reach 26-30W, so it does not suit the lower-powered XLIM models.

Which resistance should I buy?

Higher resistance gives a tighter, cooler mouth-to-lung draw; lower resistance gives a warmer, more open one. On the XLIM platform OXVA publishes 1.2 ohm at 10-12W, 0.8 ohm at 12-16W, 0.6 ohm at 20-25W and 0.4 ohm at 26-30W.

As a rule, the tighter resistances suit nicotine salts at higher strengths, and the more open ones suit lower strengths. Avoid thick high-VG shortfills in any of them.

How many cartridges are in a pack?

OXVA refillable cartridges are supplied three per pack across both the XLIM and NeXLIM ranges, in the single resistance you select.

The coil is built into the cartridge, so there is no separate coil to buy - when flavour fades, the whole cartridge is replaced.
